The St. Lawrence Parks Commission is an agency of the Government of Ontario, under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Sport , and is the leading Eastern Ontario tourism operator, with properties such as Fort Henry, Upper Canada Village, Upper Canada Golf Course, Ivy Lea Campground, Long Sault Parkway, Riverside-Cedar Park, 1000 Island Parkway, Crysler Park and Marina, The Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, Glengarry Park and many more.
Our visitors come from local, national and international markets. The Commission has been an innovative award winning marketing champion, developing cooperative partner marketing programs with considerable metro market penetration in Ontario (Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston to Cornwall corridor), Quebec (Montreal, Hull) and Northern NY. These successful initiatives are presented through integrated marketing efforts, direct mail, industry trade shows, direct sales calls and Destination Marketing Organization and RTO affiliations.
The majority of our visitors are adults 25-59, with a focus on families; predominately females Secondary markets include Group Bus Tours (adults 25-49), regional Boards of Education for educational programming (children 12-18) and seniors (60+).
To date, St. Lawrence Parks Commissions' attendance exceeded 2 million visitors, with an economic impact of over $100 million.
