What is Skywood Eco Adventure?
Skywood Eco Adventure is an aerial game, zip tour and Treewalk Village park operated by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission and crafted by Treetop Trekking, the original leader in tree top challenge game parks in Ontario and Quebec. Equipped with the latest in safety harness technology and a helmet you will explore a series of obstacle courses leading from tree to tree high above the ground. The adventure courses are made up of zip lines, balance logs, bridges and other unique and exciting games. Courses are at various heights and range in difficulty from beginner to advanced. An eight zip line canopy tour takes you on an exciting adventure through the treetops, over a limestone cliff face and 70 feet over the Jones Creek Marsh. Skywood will also be the location of the first permanent accessible zip line in Canada offering those with special needs the ability to have a zip experience. Opening in August Treewalk Village is a series of treehouses connected with elevated walkways all safely enclosed with netting so that children can move from house to house without the need for harnesses.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are recommended. Although we do accept walk ups when our schedule allows, we schedule our staff based on reservations, and also have a limited number of harnesses and helmets and need to ensure we have equipment for you. Note – for groups of less than 20 people, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Also bookings within 24 hrs of arrival time must be made by phone.
How long will I be there?
Our adventure course challenge games take about 3-hours to complete. The zip tour experience is 2 hours. We do ask that you arrive promptly for your scheduled start time to fill out your waiver and to get your equipment on. You will then complete a safety orientation where we will explain the rules of the park and show you how to safely use your equipment. The remaining time will be spent exploring the adventure courses or zip tour experience.
What happens if it rains?
We climb rain or shine! We don’t let rain slow us down one bit, and Skywood is totally safe in the rain. The only time we won’t climb is if there is thunder and lightning, or really high winds. When this happens we close our courses until the bad weather has passed, and get everyone back up climbing as quickly as possible.
What payment options are available?
You can pay for your climb by cash, debit card, Visa or Mastercard. We also accept cheques for corporate or school groups. Online you can use credit card.
When do I need to pay?
For groups of less than 20 people we require payment in full at the time of booking. This is most often done by credit card over the phone. For groups of 20 people or more, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due on the day of your visit.
