At the northeast corner of the parade square, in the north wall, is the entrance to the East Reverse Fire Chambers. These are similar to the West Reverse Fire Chambers (see above), but are reversed in orientation. As the reverse fires do not extend all the way around the north wall, it is necessary to provide two sets in order to protect both sides of the fort.
