IT'S A BABY BOOM AT UPPER CANADA VILLAGE!


Morrisburg, Ontario – With spring in full swing, Upper Canada Village has a baby boom under way.  Guests to the Village can see 21 new piglets, 8 lambs, 3 calves with 1 more on the way and June will see the arrival of 3 Canadian foals.  

Upper Canada Village features heirloom breeds of animals including Berkshire pigs, Leicester sheep, Canadian, Durham/Shorthorn and Devon cattle and Canada’s national breed the Canadian horse.  All of these breeds were common in Upper Canada during the 1860s.

Upcoming Events
There’s something happening every week at the Village.  Drop by to watch the baby animals grow, the crops and flowers bloom or take in one of the Village’s themed weekends and special events:

Sheep Shearing Days take place on Tuesday and Wednesdays, May 29-30 and June 5-6 from 10:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The always colourful Medieval Festival with a cast of medieval warriors, musicians, archers, falconers, jousting Knights and more will return to Upper Canada Village on June 9 and 10.  Admission:  Adult (19-64 yrs) $22; Senior (65 yrs +) $21; Student (13-18 yrs) $17 and Youth (5-12 yrs) $15; Children 4 years of age and younger are free.  All prices are plus HST.

If Dad’s a history buff, then Upper Canada Village is the place to be on Father’s Day June 17.  All Dad’s will receive complimentary admission.

The Passport to the Past annual pass provides a great way to drop by Upper Canada Village all season long for one low price, plus it offers numerous other benefits such as free admission to Fort Henry, discounts for shopping and more! Pass prices start at $30 (youth 5-12 yrs). Upgrade to the Premium Passport which includes unlimited visits to Pumpkinferno and Alight at Night from $50 (youth 5-12 yrs).  All pass prices are plus HST.

Upper Canada Village is open from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily, from May 4, 2018 until September 3, 2018 and Wednesday to Sunday from September 5 to 16, 2018.
