Fort Henry & Upper Canada Village Set to Welcome Back Visitors

As part of a phased reopening, St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is pleased to announce the opening of its historic sites, Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario and Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario beginning Wednesday, July 1st.

Upper Canada Village’s award-winning winter lights festival, Alight at Night, welcomed an impressive 39,097 in visitors, which is above the festivals average annual attendance by over 16% in its 19th remarkable season. The Tourism Regional Economic Impact Model estimates a regional economic benefit of $4.3 million this year for the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry area; an extremely positive impact for the local community.

Fort Fright, New Scares Take Over Fort Henry

Fort Henry is transforming into its fall season and will open for Fort Fright on Friday, October 4. For its 12th year, new scares will horrify visitors as they step into the dark, murky dry-ditch of Fort Henry. This year admission includes Fort Fright scares, Coffin Ride, a Haunted Carnival and experiences from Haunted Walks, Improbable Escapes and more!

New Enchanting Exhibits at Pumpkinferno

Upper Canada Village’s award-winning Pumpkinferno is returning this fall, with a selection of all-new carved displays set among other returning fan-favourites. Opening Friday, September 27 and running Thursdays through Sundays until October 27 (and Thanksgiving Monday). Pumpkinferno is a mesmerizing installation of artist-inspired, glowing displays and is a not-to-be-missed fall event for ALL ages!
