Mille Roches Campground & Day‑Use Area Restoration: Project Update 3

SLPC continues to advance work on the restoration of Mille Roches Campground and the Mille Roches Beach & Day-Use Area along the Long Sault Parkway. The project will modernize infrastructure, replace aging systems, and introduce new accessible amenities that will enhance the guest experience when the site reopens in 2027.

Construction Update

Work is advancing steadily across several key areas of the project, including municipal servicing and the construction of new visitor facilities.

The municipal sewer and water connections project is moving along very well. Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has completed sections of sewer and water pipe installation along the causeway to Snetsinger Island and from south of the east bridge to the Mille Roches Beach entrance.

The Mille Roches Beach and Mille Roches Campground washroom replacement projects have also begun. Dalren Limited has started work on the foundations of the new campground washroom facility, while the foundation work for the new beach canteen and changeroom building is nearing completion by Wemp & Smith.

Both projects are progressing well and represent important milestones in the broader revitalization initiative. Once complete, the new facilities will provide modern, accessible amenities that support guest comfort, convenience, and long-term sustainability.

Long Sault Parkway Access

The Long Sault Parkway remains open and accessible for driving, walking, and cycling. Visitors may continue to experience increased construction activity in the area, and traffic control measures have been implemented where required. Guests are encouraged to follow all posted signage and maintain a safe distance from active construction zones.
