Fort Henry was pleased to welcome the Battle Color Detachment of the United States Marine Corps of Marine Barracks Washington 8th & I, for two performances this past weekend.
The relationship between the Marines and Fort Henry Guard goes back to 1954 when the Marines first visited the Fort. This visit marked the anniversary of the Ogdensburg Agreement, which was signed by President Roosevelt and Prime Minister King, to bind the two nations in the joint defence of North America. Since that time, the two units have paraded together countless times both at Fort Henry and at Marine Barracks, Washington D.C.

To continue the excitement, here is a wonderful performance by the "The Commandant's Own," The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps at Fort Henry! This past weekend marked 63 years of friendship between Kingston’s Fort Henry Guard and the Marine Barracks Washington 8th & I, where together, on the 150th birth year of Canada and Ontario, they performed once again!
