About St. Lawrence Parks Commission

All Parks of the St. Lawrence attractions are perfectly located between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, along the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands corridor. A wonderful stop for guests to experience Canadian history and breathtaking views.

Explore 19th century military life at Fort Henry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kingston, where you will see the Fort Henry Guard march, the cannons boom and the drums roar! Enjoy a tour of Kingston Penitentiary and see behind the walls of one of Canada’s oldest and most notorious prisons. Go back in time at Upper Canada Village, just one hour from Ottawa and Montreal, and spend a day with the villagers interpreting Canadian early settler life in the 1860s. Or discover the beautiful outdoors and camp along the St. Lawrence River at one of 10 riverside campgrounds!

Fort Henry


Cannons boom, drums roar and your little ones can march in the Muster Parade. Go back in time to 19th century military life at the UNESCO World Heritage Site that protected Canada against intruders. Enjoy daily activities and drills, and be wowed by the award-winning Sunset Ceremony!

Upper Canada Village


Go back to the 1860s and spend a day with the villagers. Meet the friendly blacksmith, the jovial baker and the happy cheesemaker as they go about their daily tasks using authentic historical tools! Kingston Pen Tours


Kingston Pen Tours offers a unique opportunity to explore Canada's oldest maximum-security prison. Closed in 2013, and designated as a National Historic Site, it is an amazing historical building, predating Canada's confederation in 1867. Tours include the Standard, Extended, Architectural and Film Tours.
