PumpkInferno Returns to Upper Canada Village for an Illuminating 15th Season

Morrisburg, ON – Giant jungle creatures, global adventures and high-speed races are brought to life by thousands of glowing pumpkin creations as PumpkInferno returns to Upper Canada Village this October for another memorable season of family-friendly fall fun. The award-winning event invites visitors to explore an enchanted outdoor experience featuring larger-than-life illuminated pumpkin displays and interactive activities.

Vibrant colours and intricate carving bring a gorilla and baby to life in one of PumpkInferno’s many illuminated pumpkin creations.

This year’s event introduces brand-new exhibits, including PKF1, a racing adventure through the decades, Jungle Giants, featuring larger-than-life creatures from the wild, Timeless Toys, a nostalgic celebration of childhood favourites, and Postmarked Paradise, a global journey across all seven continents. Returning favourites such as Autumn Adventures, Bug Eyed, Feline Frenzy, Jack Attack!, Ladies of the 80’s, Après Ski, and Rhinestone Rodeo ensure there is something exciting and familiar for both first timers and returning guests.

What makes PumpkInferno unique is the artistry behind each display. The pumpkins that visitors encounter are not traditional jack-o’-lanterns, but hand-carved artificial pumpkins, each molded from the shape of a real pumpkin. Every spring, a talented team of artists from Eastern Ontario begins the extensive process of designing, carving and constructing the ornate displays that will eventually illuminate the Village. Over the course of several months, thousands of pumpkins are transformed into elaborate works of art, creating the spectacular scenes visitors experience each fall.

Beyond the illuminated displays, guests can enjoy interactive activities, family-friendly games, festive photo opportunities and the popular Painted Pumpkin Art Gallery, featuring hundreds of uniquely decorated pumpkins created by local students. Visitors can also stop by the Cauldron Corner Café for seasonal treats and beverages while taking in the sights and sounds of the fall season.

To ensure everyone can enjoy the magic of PumpkInferno, Accessibility Nights will take place on October 6, 14 and 21. These evenings provide guests with limited mobility or sensory needs the opportunity to experience the illuminated displays from the comfort of their own vehicle during a 30-minute driving tour through Upper Canada Village. Visitors can observe thousands of intricately carved pumpkins and themed exhibits while enjoying a more accessible and sensory-friendly experience. Accessibility Nights help make Pumpkinferno welcoming and inclusive for all.
