Alight at Night Brightens Winter Nights at Upper Canada Village

Miniature Train Makes Its Return For the Alight at Night Festival, Beginning December 1

The weeks ahead will be merry and bright as the cherished annual festival  Alight at Night returns to Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, ON, beginning tonight, December 1, 2023.

A beloved tradition for many, Alight at Night transforms the historic village into a dazzling winter wonderland, creating a fun, festive, and family-friendly experience for visitors of all ages.

The outdoor light festival with more than one million lights runs Thursday through Sunday until December 17 and will be open nightly from December 21, 2023 to January 6, 2024 (closed December 24 and 25).

Many families, couples and groups bundle up to return to the Village annually for the holiday magic and to enjoy a fulsome experience with an evening stroll, caroling, dining, and gift shopping. Holiday time is perhaps guests’ favourite time for train rides, making Alight at Night the perfect time to welcome the return of the miniature train attraction to Upper Canada Village.

New this year, the Village Store will open (to everyone, with or without an Alight at Night ticket) at 4 p.m. on all operating evenings for holiday shopping.

Also new this year, Kingston-based indie-rock band Tiny Horse will present a special evening of live holiday music on Thursday, December 7, 2023 (included in regular admission).

Timed-entry tickets must be purchased in advance from www.AlightatNight.ca. Ticket availability appears in real-time, and many evenings sell out. To avoid disappointment, purchase tickets early.
